Problem Note 35326: The -INITSTMT and -TERMSTMT system options are ignored by the SAS® Stored Process Server and Workspace Server

The –INITSTMT system option is ignored by SAS® Stored Process Servers and Workspace servers. Any code that you want to specify for these servers in an –INITSTMT option should be included in an autoexec.sas file instead.

The –TERMSTMT system option is also ignored by SAS Stored Process Servers and Workspace servers. Any code you want executed in a –TERMSTMT option must be handled as follows:
- for SAS 9.1.3® or later, %INCLUDE a file containing the code at the end of the SAS code for SAS Stored Processes executing on a Workspace server or SAS Stored Process Server; or
- for SAS® 9.2 or later SAS Stored Process Servers *only*, use the Initialization program and/or Termination program options that are available in the server configuration:
Expand the SAS® Management Console Server Manager plugin and follow these steps:
- Expand the SASApp server.
- Highlight the SASApp – Logical Stored Process Server.
- Right mouse and select Properties.
- From the Options tab select the Set Server Properties button.
- Add an Initialization and/or Termination program on the Session or Request tab as needed.
